SENIOR COUNSELLOR / PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Christa is an experienced counsellor with over 10 years’ experience.  She has a comprehensive education comprising of a Bachelor of Social Science with Honours in 2005, a Master of Social Work in 2009, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology in 2020 and a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours in 2021. She is in the final stages of her Master of Clinical Psychology degree at Swinburne University, graduating mid 2024.

Christa has experience with a broad range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and grief. She is experienced in providing counselling services for clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Christa values a client-centred approach and uses self-compassion-based Interventions, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural therapy, emotion-focused therapy, schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and family approaches in her clinical practice.

Counselling with Christa is eligible for Medicare rebates with a Mental Health Plan.

Christa works at our BRIGHTON practice on Tuesday and Thursday.
